Across the country people are looking to our region with envy. Sound Transit is opening new stations. Cities are building housing near transit and people are riding light rail. We are winning!

Let’s keep building a network that best serves transit riders. #BuildTheDamnTrains
Transit advocates in the Puget Sound region are in a position of strength but act like we are in a position of weakness. We assume it’s still 2005, when ST was fighting for its life and the public was lukewarm at best.

But it’s 2025. ST is thriving and the public is eager for more.

No and good to end the damn shutdown!
Have you heard about this?

"As the govt shutdown drags on, buildings at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (HQ for the Webb telescope among other missions) are being emptied without notice. Highly specialized equipment is at risk of being thrown away like trash."

NASA may be quietly gutting an iconic campus with what it calls strategic closures, workers fear | CNN
Buildings at Goddard’s Maryland campus are being emptied and padlocked, sources say. NASA leadership has pushed back against the concerns.

A literal red flag event at Nellis right now
This is the food-distribution line at Nellis Air Force Base. Active-duty U.S.
service members waiting for basic assistance because Trump gutted
SNAP support for military families.
Trump's predatory regime refuse to offer these military families the financial relief they deserve.

Democrats made the right call to stand w/ SNAP recipients.
44 million people get SNAP benefits
22 million people get enhanced ACA benefits

So for Democrats mad about the Senate voting to end the shutdown because voters don't want it-- which voters are they referring to?

The 22 million people who'll pay more for insurance, or 44 million who are destitute?

SNAP is hanging on by a thread.
Aviation in the US is becoming more unsafe.
People are fed up.
What winning hand?
Senate Dems have a winning hand and are folding. Rank and file Dem voters are going to need to rise up against and fire their leaders over this.
From what I have seen so far this does not seem like a good deal:

What kind of breaking point will it take to persuade everyone that it is unreasonable to expect controllers, who were already understaffed and working mandatory overtime, to endure these circumstances?

You've got to be kidding
About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages
