i dont remember who was saying it but i believe in the "you have to combine players who go forward and come backward in your front line" argument, noni, gyok and martinelli all go forward players which explains why it has rarely worked with those three

Tons of space for Saliba and he rarely took it.
This is quite weird tactically, because Liverpool are using Frimpong and Gakpo to double up on our wingers. Naturally, that leaves lots of space for our centre backs to progress and drive with the ball, with Zubimendi + Rice dropping in.
