Sometimes memorable moments from the past come back to warm my heart at random times. For example, the warnings on these Kaiyodo Xebec Hokuto no Ken / Fist of the North Star toys that popped up at random mall anime shops in the late 90s / early 00s.

Been playing though the Dragon Quest HD-2D remakes with Japanese audio and English text. It's a really fun exercise in localization, seeing which bits of dialogue were either trimmed or expounded on.

Y'all, I know two hours is a big time commitment, but this panel I arranged and hosted last month is one of the most important things I've ever done for video game history. The launch of the NES is a crazier story than most people realize, and my guests were extremely generous with their memories.

It's been close to a year, and I'm almost finished translating my first official four-book light novel series.

I thought I'd be doing this right out of college, but that was quite literally twenty years ago. Life takes its turns. I'm grateful to finally be soaking my feet in the proverbial onsen.

Strange to have two KOF posts in a row, but I was going through some old files and found these images from a Gamest Mook I picked up maybe 25 years ago. This is the one showing that Terry Bogard supposedly says "Oh my shit!" during one of his moves. It may be "Overheat" canonically by now, not sure.
