So I dont think he's wrong. He is talking about the "Libs" that specific type that is fine with these heinous policies as long as they dont have to look at it.. they were fine with ICE when it was Obama and Biden because it was done quietly "the lawfully" and he would respect them more

To clarify he wasnt just begrudgingly doing their taxes this was pre 2015 so what he doing was using obscure tax law/loopholes to ensure couples effectively were treated as though they were married and he did eventually come around so... yeah... complicated

He was complicated... his rhetoric was not great but when it came to actions he did some really progessive things. A good example is he was not supportive of same-sex marriage but as an accountant he was the one queer people went to because he knew how to file their taxes and settle their estates
