Apologies for the quote but I can't reply, but I think this betrays a misunderstanding that I believe English VO was recorded first and was what was mocapped around (though it was mocapped by French people who spoke English). So it's not quite the same given the French dub came later.
Now, in fairness, this is at the Game Awards, an awards show run by Americans, but it's still surreal that a French game that dominated the show the way Max Verstappen did in 2023 didn't win one for the French voice acting.
