Autism is my painful special interest, I'm a L2 semi-verbal autistic 90s baby with a "Greta Thunberg complex" regarding the autism industry. ♿🩼♾️ She/Her. UK. ⚠️ I can't read DMs.
• where is [subject] in my hierarchy of interests, in terms of depth of knowledge acquisition?

• how long has [subject] fixation lasted? (years = SPIN; weeks = fixation)

• is my "structure of behaviour" itself the special interest?

(e.g. my behaviour of collecting information is a special interest, regardless of the current subject I am fixated on)

Through no choice of my own, I have been transformed into the Mormon of female autism.

"Do you have a moment to talk about the ongoing NHS manslaughter of Autistic girls?"
a lizard is sitting on top of a scale and smiling at the camera .
Alt: cute lizard staring at you unblinkingly as it walks towards you

"What would improve your mental health?"
Diagnosis.

"What's the meaning of life?"
Diagnosis.

"What's your love language?"
Diagnosis.

"What's your favourite colour?"
Diagnosis.

"What's missing from your life?"
Diagnosis.

"What do you want to talk about today?"
Diagnosis.

I'm so tired of Autistic life being "silence and ostracism interspersed with systemic abuse".

this has taught me that the NHS is a selfish system that doesn't care about its patients, it only cares to be a tool of the fascist allistic neurostate;

"my NHS" is not "here for me", it's the main killer of Autistic girls.

the NHS has the resources to persecute and punish my autism (they invaded my home + forced me into school when I was a school refusing, burned out, overloaded, peer-abused Autistic child)

but they don't have the resources to understand and recognise me

This is why indigenous peoples started coining their own words for autism. They didn't need them before Western medicine but now they need terms to differentiate their own perspective on autism from what Western professionals say about it.

I believe a lot of folks underestimate the bruising psychological effect of being told "you belong here" while simultaneously being consistently oppressed by the same people

Bearing witness & providing community & data to prove it's real is so important

As soon as they figure out a way to monetise fixing your species, they'll think of a suitably terrifying name to freak out the typical types.
