Ohio -- or, at least, Columbus -- tends to go for cars driving into the side of buildings than for drunk animals.

Seriously. It's an issue here.

These sounds are so unique. The way I can wake up out of a dead sleep when I hear a cat chewing on a plastic bag...

Thanks for writing them!

I hope things level out for you and you can get back to writing sometime soon, even if it's just for you.

Oh. OH.

I think I need this too.

Oh, I'm so sorry! I hope he was just briefly confused. *hugs* to you both!

Austen is worth it for a close study of polite society and women’s roles within it, and Elliot is just delightful. Dickens is not worth it; neither is Thomas Hardy, though if you want to be bored reading about rural English life he is your man.

It‘s ridiculous. I am so tired of the need to make genres buzzworthy with a catchy title (though my brain is trying to make “romansci” work despite my misgivings…).

“My Sweet Lord” is a very different song in Opus’ mind.

Please, god, let it happen. I am so tired of sexless media that I almost started a podcast called “Does It F*ck?” where I just talk about media with decent sex in it.

*specfic, not “specific”. Goddamn Autocorrect…
December 2, 2025 at 4:44 PM
WUT.

Even with sci-fantasy, the “sci” takes precedence. It is fantasy in a sci-fi setting, not the other way ‘round. It would be labeled as sci-fi.

Romantasy does not need to be an umbrella term for specific romance.

I’m going to be leading a planning session in my writing group using Sara Cannon’s HB90 and the Memento Mori Planner Companion, both of which are quarterly. It’s much saner than trying to stick to one goal for a year!

Chest hair is so good. Hollywood needs to bring it back. No more waxed chests!

Yep! I routinely couldn’t handle how hot he was, and then how caring he was with B’Elanna. I think that may have been the first time I saw a TV character love someone inclusive of all of their faults, not despite them.

More games need to call out our in-game behavior. Imagine Link being called out for breaking everyone’s pots and taking their rupees, because that’s just degenerate thievery.

Tom Paris was my sexual awakening, lol. The little bit of chest hair peeking above his prison uniform in the pilot sent my little brain into a tizzy.

And that was three seasons before “Blood Fever” 😂

Following because I suspect I hav similar thoughts and I would also like to read more.

Have you seen the newest “Does Romance really need an HEA?” post? Because that’s making the round over there this evening.

I’ve started saying “I THINK ABOUT SEX A LOT“ very loudly to embarrass them. It works pretty well.

“fuck YES this looks like a HOUSE I am so smart.”
