in the trump administration, “merit” is pronounced “white” like how strom thrumond said it.
Just look at these paragraphs from the AP story.

Hegseth called Brown unqualified solely because he's Black. Then they fired him... and replaced him with a white guy so indisputably unqualified that he requires a Presidential waiver.

This is what "merit" means to them.

Once upon a time, these were actions by a private company. Now they are actions being undertaken by a high-ranking government official, in connection with his public activities. This raises 1A issues that didn’t exist before.
Over on X, simple tweets by my colleague Greg Bluestein of the Atlanta Journal Constitution have been blocked. They were nothing but video of a town hall held by Rep. Rich McCormick R-GA where he was asked questions about DOGE

One way you know "RFK Jr. is a good dude who just wants people to exercise and eat nutritious food" is bullshit is that Michelle Obama quite famously encouraged people to exercise and eat nutritious food and was quite famously relentlessly attacked for it by many of the same people who love RFK Jr.
There's a bizarre and ongoing mainstream effort to launder RFK Jr into someone who just wants to get Americans eating nutritious food and exercising again but that is not evidenced anywhere in his public statements or career in public life.

He is a liar and conspiracist.

Can't a member of the House simply read it into the record? Say, a member who's not returning next session and has zero fucks to give?
The House voted 204-198 to block release of the Gaetz ethics report. All Dems present voted to release, along with Republican Tom McClintock of CA. Every other Republican present voted to keep Gaetz's violations covered up.

Again, Gaetz is accused of sex trafficking and statutory rape.

"Elon Musk, whose companies have received nearly $8 billion in government funding through an assortment of federal grants, tax breaks, government subsidies and contracts, proposed today that senior citizens need to 'tighten their belt' to help balance the national budget."

See? It's not hard.
Here one of Elon Musk's lickspittles explains their plan: Persuade regular Americans to accept huge cuts to Social Security and Medicare so that billionaires can get gigantic tax cuts. I don't think they'll be able to pull it off, but we'll see.

100% but imho the difference now is that you're watching a sports podcast, but, independent of whatever the hosts are doing, you start being fed other videos that are increasingly radical. Tuning into Limbaugh is an active choice, an algorithmic feed that gets you to Nick Fuentes can be less so.
Some analysts are focusing on the part in Pew's new study noting the majority of news influencers are conservative men. But that's been true for many years in AM talk radio and cable TV news, as I noted in my book, "Race-Baiter." Seems to be a decades-long trend in American media: loom.ly/kkWHGAg

Trump is now < 50%, and leads Harris < 2%. This election was extremely close.

That margin will have enormous consequences. But it’s small enough that instead of debating which vulnerable groups and standards of decency Dems should abandon, they could just focus on how to better defend both.
