Aussie abroad in APAC. I work in strategic comms and public affairs, but this channel is mostly about video games and fun things. Wannabe dinosaur whisperer. Dogs, drones, and fun things.

A friend in the disability space once told me that Australian traffic light buttons are globally regarded as one of the best due to their accessibility options for vision/hearing impaired people.

Suffice to say it's cool to see them in newer areas of Singapore (and making me a bit homesick)

Technology is wild. I just remotely logged into my PS5 from my phone at work to clear some space on the HDD and download Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

I love the annual COD campaign weekend. It's popcorn action at its best.

Of course Spotify is paywalling Lossless audio with an even more expensive tier... Though why they're doing it in Indonesia is odd, it's not like disposable income is high there

I think we're approaching a 'can you separate the art from the artist'-type of debate around AI in creative industries. I don't agree with the framing in this review, but you can feel how hard the author tried to articulate the challenge.
Rich PvE combat and an unusually friendly community make Arc Raiders a more approachable extraction shooter than most, but Embark Studios' continued use of AI voice generation is a black mark against its reputation.

Can Australia stop talking about the housing issue like one thing will solve it? Of course houses on trailere won't, but maybe they play a small part?

Australia's inability to actually communicate complicated problems and have multi-layered solutions is maddening.

I finished Split Fiction over the weekend. It Takes Two was better, but this was still a fun co-op game and I'm grateful for Hazelight's mastery of the genre.

Ironically, it does feel like a game like that is a prime candidate for AI help with the art assets, though.

Influencers in China that discuss topics such as medicine, law, education, or finance must prove they are qualified or certified to do so, in an aim to clamp down on misinformation.

Right now it impacts large influencer accounts (1m+ followers) + bans false advertising.
