Alternative search engines do exist but a lot of them I can’t remember off the top of my head. I know one that is growing has a subscription model so that they don’t need to rely on ads.

As far as alternate browsers go, they’re coming but not yet ready. I’ve been keeping an eye out for Ladybird.

fun fact: duckduckgo's search engine is Bing. they just use the APIs, which MS cut off access to smaller customers a few months ago.
