ok. i think the last day or so has seen my mental health stabilise somewhat, so i can relax a bit. listening to erik satie helps. i'm not saying it's over, but things are calm right now.
there's a song being worked on, too. if i finish it in a way i like, i'll just put it out.

taking a break from my instability for a moment to emphasize how awesome linux is. like, my monitors didn't want to come back on after i re-awoke the computer from suspend, but just one jump into tty mode, one systemd command, and boom, it's back. windows would have forced me to hard reset.

A kind follow up on the “musicians are not rivals, we are a collective” reply I made in a @etherdiver.bsky.social thread: of course there are rivals, but most of them seem to be more personal grudges than artistic. Lennon and Jagger were friends, Ayumi Hamasaki and Hikaru Utada were friends, etc.
