♀️In 2021-2023, of the 24 research articles published in @plc-journal.bsky.social, only 3 were authored solely by women, all single-authored. In contrast, 10 were authored solely by men: 6 solo and 4 collaborative works. There were no all-female articles.

To understand discrimination in politics, we need to understand "strategic descriptive representation without substantive representation."

Because what is it worth when we have more women, minorities, or Muslims etc. in politics when they cannot stand for the issues that benefit their own groups?
This is a very interesting observational paper for those working on gendered dynamics of far-right, descriptive rep & femonationalism

Does women's descriptive rep. lower anti-gender discourse among far-right? No, it *increases* it (according to parl speech data 2009-2023)
