Bonus alternate laser beam

I'm so happy with how this is coming together now, the laser feels fantastic. It still needs more juice but I'd say this is about 50x as effective as the previous iteration, what do you think?

Slow progress as Ive been in a bit of a slump but my little guy can shoot now. I hoped I could get away with not showing projectiles bc of the performance cost but I dont think this sells the effect. Anybody got any ideas for ways I can add juice without more sprites?

I've been doing some @play.date dev recently, it's a tonne of fun and really easy to get into. GIF from what I've been working on 👀 #playdate #indiegames

The first screenshot is from the failed jump, the second one is a success. It might still be the same problem I was describing but I reckon it happens on the platform before

Finally had a little more time to work on art for Forbidden Friend (my virtual pet game) - What do you think?

Tried my hand at some pixelart for a virtual pet game I'm working on. What do you think?

The game is called "Forbidden Friend" and has you nurturing an eldritch god and its cult. This is one of the cultists

Some screens from a little #puzzlegame i've been working on, hope you like it! It'll be out on itch.io at the start of March. It's very relaxed, very colourful, and will hopefully be a nice break from the world. Let me know what you think!

Started "playing" Ropuka's Idle Island today and wow do I wish that were me

If you're the kind of person who occasionally pines for a simple life then it's probably something you'll enjoy

Split keyboard enthusiasts unite!

I've been using a hand soldered Corne for years now, a real slog to get started but a lot of fun once you've got the layout down plus it looks cool as hell

I'm absolutely awful at RTS games and this is no exception, but... I can appreciate the love that went into this game. Having the train serve a major purpose in the story plus in and out of battle was a really solid design decision. Well worth your time if you like RTS.

Next up, Xenotilt

This is the most intense game of pinball you will ever play. I don't have words to describe just how much is happening on the screen at any given time

So much fun, absolutely worth it if you have fond memories of space cadets pinball (and hey, it's on sale!)

In the run up to xmas I want to mention a few games I've played this year that I thought were something special

'Turing Complete' first - you start from NAND and NOR gates and you work upwards, solving various problems until you've designed your own CPU.

Crazy hard, worth it.

I'll go again!
Here are a couple of stills from a game I made for a 48h jam
You play as an ageing vampire and needs blood almost constantly to stay alive. Fortunately, you're also being pursued by many peasants who are more than happy to donate to a good cause

Plus some card art I had comissioned
December 20, 2024 at 1:04 PM
Coming in a little late to this...

Here is a WIP for a card game I was making. There were 4 keys you fought for control of (4 cols). At the end of the round you held the correct key and were strong enough, you would break through a door in the center. Get past all 4 and you win
