Finally processing the parsley I harvested last fall and dried in the basement. We harvested a little late so it’s pale and not the best, but it’s leagues above store bought and smells amazing.

Unpopular opinion: I’m halfway through Low Rank (taking my time to do side quests & explore) and I want a “hug Nata” button. He’s just a kid with PTSD—watching him open up in response to care & shut down in response to trauma hits me right in the feels.

Fun fact: emotional tears stay on your face longer than irritated-eye tears, and have proteins to make them more visible. We’re a social species, and crying is a built-in communication tool. It shows your community that you’re overwhelmed, and we should rally around in that time of need.

Single hardest thing to have & also to explain is, I think, voice. I’ve now read many entries for #Curae, short fiction, nonfiction, creative nonfiction & poetry and you hear it straight away in some entries and what’s interesting is that they are not necessarily the most technically accomplished 💙📚

I always giggle when fictional cults & monsters use inverted crosses as “evil symbols”. That’s the Cross of Saint Peter, who was crucified upside down.
Just the idea of a vampire visiting some clueless cult’s sanctum, bursting immediately into flames and running away screaming obscenities. 😂

The zipper on this pillowcase kept getting stuck in the little protective pocket, and we couldn’t get it out. Then crochet hook to the rescue! I also added a few sloppy stitches to keep the zipper from getting sucked in again.
