I have always believed that Rob Reiner understood what many of us had to endure while trying to Serve-in-Uniform as black commissioned officers in the US Marine Corps. I sometimes discussed that scene with Legendary US Marine Corps Lieutenant General Frank E. Petersen (RIP).
