Wow, did not expect this much activity at 38.5N latitude tonight. We hit G4 storm level. Had a really nice display for about an hour. Quick phone shot around 02:12 UTC.

I imaged the Sun just minutes before the flair happened on 08.05:

Its starting to rain at my place. Very welcome being in D1 drought conditions, if not worse. So how will I know how much I get? A rain guage of course. How much fell near me though? How about by a friends house?
Wouldn't it be great to have a network of gauges that report reliable rain data?
