I haven't even thought about that song until I read this post, and now I feel like the moment I step outside it's going to come barrelling towards me in the most ridiculous way possible.

IDEALLY I would love to hire people who actually know how to make video games but I feel like these past two years "Mitch learns how to do this incredibly complicated thing" has been sorta the vibe. So. Who knows.

I'm still unsure if I want to make it a text based game with a small amount of art (painstakingly cobbled together Blender scenes) or if I should bite the bullet and just. Learn how to make a full-fledged game.

For shits and giggles.

This is probs the main reason why Project Singularity has been suspended in nothingness for two years.

With MonAct as its new origin point (Early Bird was meant to be the first, as evidenced by all the 3D assets just chillin' on my desktop) I've got some redrafting to do.

Now that I have a "lore keeper" that isn't my own brain, it's so much easier to stretch my limbs and let this project breathe. Wrangling my ADHD means living in a state of constant anxiety that a thought or idea will simply vanish if I don't do it RIGHT NOW.

I need a four hour documentary on this topic ASAP.

I guess you're right. Epic Mickey WAS kinda of wild but idk, an attachment to Final Fantasy feels a lot riskier, especially during the early 2000s.

Teen me remembers being utterly flabbergasted at the sight of actual Michael Mouse standing in front of the Door to Darkness.

His widow, Cat, has invited friends to leave messages and donations in his memory to Macmillan, Matt's chosen charity. I've helped set up a memorial page so please feel free to share this to anyone who knew and loved him.

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences. I had the pleasure of chatting with Matt through the HWC, and because of him I've met and connected with so many wonderful writers. May his memory be a blessing.
