by this point, all we were missing were the rings. while Friend waited on those to come in, they got to splatter-painting and "antiquing" the leather!

all the cut out and stamped leather straps lined up in two rows, splattered with red dye. it's gruesome to look at, not gonna lie. a close-up of the dyed straps. the red looks nice and rich! the straps no longer looking tan, set out in two neat rows. they've been sealed, making the leather look darker. a gloved hand hovers near the bottom frame. protective gear is always important. a handful of the now painted and sealed straps in the morning sunlight! it really makes the colors pop.

Not to get ahead of myself while we're still at the Monitored Activity phase of Project Singularity, but this post made me just a liiiiiittle bit feral in reference to a certain character I shall not name but stands at the center of this entire series.
a tumblr post by aconstellationcollective: dehumanization as horror is great and all but what about humanization as horror. Being forced into a role that was not made for you. Being forced to fulfill expectations that you can never achieve. Being made to exist in a society that so cruelly expects you to act in a way that is against your nature.

Got some authors spitting truths on the TL tonight, and a lot of it matches up with this passage I just got done editing.

People have been doing this forever. You talk about fan fiction and people have been doing that for decades, if not centuries. We've never been short on creativity, nor the tools or skills to create art.

Calling food pics and selfies the original "slop", one can tell OP's never had any fun ever.

He's so normal he's married to a beautiful wife and has 2.5 kids. Upstanding member of the community. Has never murdered or fed anyone to any fleshy anomalies in the mall's bowels because a voice told him to. 👍
