further clarification -
we recently moved to linux as our windows install was on the brink
we've had some experience before with gimp back in 2016-2019, using it for sm4sh modding, and we have also tried using photopea.
it works great on our phone but not on neon- very laggy and glitchy somehow??

oh we definitely edited it
tried to do a simple swap of renders
(hence why theres 2 classic sonics)
it ended up taking far longer than it should have. gimp is just not fun to use.
