I personally think that Americans wildly over-cinnamon their apple pies. the prominent flavor of an apple pie should be apple. The acidity of the fruit mixed with too much cinnamon ends up tasting kinda sicky

I feel like when glass is smashed in movies, they never show the people picking glass out of their bodies for hours afterwards.
Like I dropped a jar yesterday, my friends and wife all worked together to clean the kitchen, I took a shower, and I woke up this morning with a piece of glass in my foot!

I feel like when glass is smashed in movies, they never show the people picking glass out of their bodies for hours afterwards.

I gave my level 5 #D&D 3rd-8th grade players the opportunity to strategize against a Lich encounter!
The lesson was, not all encounters end with 0HP

Annoyingly, I used to have a first edition of the first book of @dereklandy.bsky.social 's Skulduggery Pleasant series. Then one of my students borrowed it and never returned it. Now I have an incomplete collection, and cannot find the initial edition anywhere, and the new ones don't match my set :(

It's that when the space Nazis were shouting exterminate, the billionaires were the bad guys, and the hero was inarguably good to all people regardless of who they were, you, the audience, were still not getting the message.
