I used to have a very adventurous bucket list but now it's basically just "make friends with a crow"

And if that doesn't work I propose we hit them fast with amajor, and I mean major, leafleting campaign.

I thought this was a meme 😭
Fucking incredible dystopian shit, comparing super rich people risking millions if not billions of lives just to make more money to people that risked their life actually building incredible things that would then make millions of dollars for super rich people.

Humbled to show solidarity and support to the survivors of Super Typhoon Odette who are taking Shell to court for its role in worsening climate impacts that destroyed their homes and communities.

Please engage with TheOdetteCase.org and sign your name in support of these brave claimants.

I really don't think enough people are talking about the role of COVID's effects on our immune systems, in making things like this more likely.

News: Brands are replacing the chocolate in products because of cocoa crop failures, because of the climate crisis.

Headline: yOu CaN't eVeN cAlL iT cHoCoLaTe AnY mOrE!!1!

Crops like cocoa and coffee will continue to fail, and your biscuits are next. Wheat crops will fail within 15 years

Okay. This is angering me.

First of all, “MAN”!?
We’re not in the nineteenth century FFS. There’s a better word and it is “Humans”.

And secondly - who the f£&k thought HUMANS only learned to control fire 50,000 years ago???!!!

Man made fire 350,000 years earlier than previously thought, discovery in Suffolk suggests
Groundbreaking find makes compelling case that humans were lighting fires much earlier than originally believed

WTF?

"Britain aligns with some of Europe’s hardline governments in calling for change to allow Rwanda-style migration deals"

And when climate breakdown drives millions of migrants north from uninhabitable parts of Italy, Greece and Spain - what then?

A story like this instantly weeds out who is full of sh*t & who isn’t.

This is highly credible scientific data pointing towards the livable world ending by 2050.

Anyone not engaging with this is economically captured, high on their own supply or a well paid idiot.

At 2°C of warming the ability to grow crops ends. Current predictions are 3°C of warming by 2050.

That's 24 years and 3 weeks away...
Personally I think societal and economic collapse by 2050 is now all but inevitable - as increasing numbers of studies now predict

Any 'global transformation' is as far away as it ever was, and in many ways we are heading in the wrong direction

‘Food and fossil fuel production causing $5bn of environmental damage an hour’
UN GEO report says ending this harm key to global transformation required ‘before collapse becomes inevitable’

(1/2) T he Greens are sadly not supporting progressive policies, it's just populism for the sake of it. So, I'm glad the Greens’ policies and leadership have been getting more scrutiny in recent days...

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".
