Crockett: "Now my colleagues want to be the protectors of girls & women. I didn't hear them screaming this when Renee Good was killed in the middle of the street by the same people the vast majority of you just voted to give more money to. It was a lot of crickets, including about the Esptein files"

Maybe I like Dan Brown cause his books are just nerds doing cool stuff. Finally getting around to reading Secret of Secrets and there's a whole subplot of this editor trying to protect a manuscript and it's my favorite part so far.

My favorite treadmill at my gym is right in front of a TV that's almost always playing Big Bang Theory when I'm there. I'll watch it while I run and I obviously can't hear it, so I've ended up with a real strange and spotty grasp of Big Bang lore.

There's an Italian restaurant in my town I don't go to often cause it's pricy, but damn is it good.
However, I've eaten there twice in the last year and both times I've spent the following morning in the bathroom, so maybe I just need to not go back again 😭😂

A coworker and I were talking and she started a story with "so I was talking to my AI". Then, while we were fully making eye contact, I put on my big headphones and turned around cause fuck you if you think I'm listening to a story about anything an ai told you 😭😂

I was making a short trip out of town to buy a last minute Christmas gift on Christmas Eve and my car broke down and has been at a repair shop since then. I just found out today that it needs a new engine and it may take a few more weeks for all of it to get finished and repaired.

I'm so tired of having to do hard things, but miles to go before I sleep and all that bullshit. But today I'm getting a fun drink and checking out a local bookstore. It's about balance.

So, Ira Levin was a man. I've never had a reason to Google him and his books always gave very feminine energy to me so I assumed he was a woman. But I was listening to an episode of Book Cheat and they were using he/him pronouns so I had to search him up. I feel bamboozled. 😭😂

In bed at 8:30 because I wanted to read my book but I know there's a significant chance of me dozing off and I didn't want to fall asleep on the couch. My sleep schedule is so ruined I fear it may never be normal again.

Need yall to know that one of the main reasons I haven't killed myself this year is because I refuse to die before Trump does. Idc what it takes, I'm outliving that bastard.

I say this with nothing but love in my heart. But. Robert Langdon is absolutely just Dan Brown writing AU fanfiction of himself, right?? Like, he's who Dan Brown would be in his perfect world, yes?? And I get it, because I am so catastrophically down bad for Robert Langdon that it's embarrassing.

I listen to a lot of fiction podcasts and I've noticed that a lot of them don't seem to know how to end the story so they end it on an unsatisfying cliff hanger or just stop making it. I have a long list with about 20 more I want to listen to, so I'm interested to see if this is a common issue.

I worked at a new voting location today and all the workers were ladies and the vibes were so chill. Everyone was helpful, polite, professional. Made the 14 hours I had to spend with them pretty lovely 🥰

Reading the graphic novel my friend picked out for book club. I'm trying to figure out how to tell her that her focus on misery media is probably not helping her mental health and I genuinely think she needs therapy. She called this a lighter read and it's not graphic, but it's so damn melancholic.
