TNG a really worthy and terrific show. Seasons 1 and 2 are rough, as others have noted, but there are a few gem episodes (S2 Measure of a Man, S1 finale, which is dark and scary af), and many good scenes). Then Michael Piller became the showrunner in S3 and it’s just fantastic. (Well, S7 is uneven)
