Deep cleaning the bedroom. Turned the bed upside down to vac underneath, washing comforter, etc. this one is in full on kitty meltdown mode.

After a really good nap, Zippy will hang out on my lap for awhile. One of my favorite things is how he will turn his head around to stare at me and slow blink. Then his body just melts and relaxes. And the purring. So much purring.

I’m a little worried about Zippy. He spent more time on my lap today than he did in the entirety of 2014. He stayed even after I told him I loved him. He usually runs away when I say that. Is he hanging with me because he’s elderly? Confused? Lost track of time?

There I was, when a hot guy walked in the door and I noticed his eyes meet mine — right as I put a piece of food in my mouth — food so hot it could’ve been served on the sun. I tried to look cool as tears ran down my face and I fumbled for the water. So yeah, there’s that.

Every day around 2 pm, Zippy wakes up from his Big Nap and comes for a cuddle. That sunbeam must’ve been extra warm today because he didn’t show up until 2:45. Cuddle accomplished, he’s now gone to have something to eat.
