What would happen if every time goons show up to grab people out of a house everyone on said street parked their cars all over the place randomly on the same street. Then walk back inside and lock the doors. Let them break glass. Let them scratch paint. Ultimately, insurance helps. Film it all.

This is lovely! @cbcqueenspark.bsky.social created for Donny the note a parent would write for a grade 9 kid doing a poor job presenting in geography. "Donny had a rough bus ride into school, and yesterday he was playing with AI tools drawing silly little pictures." Except, the USA president.

Thought for the day. #Norway has better people than me in charge of things. I would have said "for real? Can you just not, for a day or two, shut the fuck up you imbecilic man child?" Glad to be a #Canadian. USA, please.... Fix it. Keep trying. There is still (limited) time.

Apropos to nothing.... On a very cold day it doesn't matter what you wear, one water balloon burst on ya freezes fast. Just saying that it ices up quick. Would not recommend being outdoor and caught in a water balloon fight. Nope. Also, some USA cities are super frigid tonight.

Read this story and didn't recognize where. My brain skipped the country for a moment. As a Canadian that should not be something I think happened next door.

'There wasn't even time for CPR': Iran medics describe hospitals overwhelmed with dead and injured protesters.

Been about a year. How is something worse seeming to pop into being "next door" every day, week, and month? #iykyk

Uh, so does this mean @bookninja.bsky.social has the power to end things? Unrelated, you should follow him as he is a great person, very smart, and not at all a lunatic who may try to end me.

Glad to find @repmcgovern.bsky.social and @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social here. An unfollow over there, and I keep advancing who I follow here. Thank you from a Canadian.

After doing "my own research" I have decided to fix my car, wire my house, fly a plane, treat my heart issues, and broadly just do it all. Wait? That sounds stupid? See. Easy. Trust the scientists, doctors, and experts. Don't be a moron.

I suppose that any conference organized to be held in Washington DC should now cancel its event because of the emergency. Not that the city of Washington is to blame, but it would help make a massive statement about just how stupid what's happening is. Move to other cities.

So a guy pours gas all over his home, gets a lighter, buys fuel, loads it up, sparks it up, house burns. He then restricts firefighters from helping. Fires the chief blaming them for the embers and ashes. Is that about right?

Should you refer to an awards show in the singular or the plural? i.e. The Tony Awards are this weekend, or is this weekend? I definitely lean towards plural, but I'm only usually right about these sorts of things.

Monday is election day in Canada. I remember hearing @mark-carney.bsky.social on @cbcnews-rss.bsky.social when he was bank governor. Poised, prepared, professional; a clear communicator. I voted early after reading his party platform. Nothing from the cons for early voters. Please, think, then vote.
April 25, 2025 at 12:57 AM
Early voting in Canada is open. As an informed voter who reads platforms from parties it's easy to immediately discount the Cons. Why? They can't be bothered respecting early voters by sharing any substance. They didn't have my vote anyway, but come on...

A special bit of stupid right now from some in Canada who don't believe polls. Attend a rally packed with faithful, then question poll numbers. Like going to a concert with fans. In context it seems everyone knows the singer, but step back. Polls may be off a bit, but this is a close election.
