GoFundMe is allowing a fundraising campaign tied to the potential legal defense of Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent who fatally shot Renee Good, to remain online despite what appears to be a breach of the platform’s own terms of service, prompting questions about selective enforcement.

In America you drop your kid off at school, get your brains blown out on the ride home, then the Vice President drops everything for a week to call you a terrorist, to slander your family, to protect the circumstances that led to your death so they can do it again. It is government by Alex Jones.

Remembering today that having your heart broken is a necessary step on the path to becoming fully human. Whichever heartbreak is your first, it’s probably critical that a state break your heart so that you can develop a political imagination. If this is your first, I’m sorry and also welcome.

I have to admit one of the reasons I want a localhost version of Home Assistant is so I can use a custom wake word.

"Aziz, light!" is just too tempting.
a man with gray hair and a beard is screaming with the word light behind him
Alt: clip from the movie "The Fifth Element": a man with gray hair and a beard yells "Aziz! Light!" and a boy who was dozing with a giant reflector outside the entranceway to a tunnel in a pyramid wakes up and struggles to move it back into position.

Alexa+ gave me a projected wind forecast with *degrees* as the unit of measurement. When I asked if it meant MPH, it basically said oops.
I can't trust what it says; it clearly didn't just copy the info from NOAA Weather.

It's still just spicy autocomplete, and I'm losing my taste for it rapidly.

One of mine was 'no problems' but last date was 2023; one was 'problems,' also 2023, no follow up inspection, and one had a couple big bad warning letters, but nothing since the warning letter in 2022 :(

I just realized, while looking up Sweeney Todd videos on Youtube, that Johnny Depp kinda got to play Edward Scissorhands twice. Not sure if that's good or bad.

ugh, synced Zen to my Firefox account and apparently it deleted the synced multi-containers data, so now even on Firefox it's lost the saved data for a lot of sites that were under containers that no longer exist :(

Just went to download the Zen browser beta to give it a whirl, and the website threw confetti to celebrate.

I like these people already.

Had healthy food today (curry salmon bowl) and my stomach rebelled, so tomorrow I think I'd better get pizza to heal it. Or something with ketchup. Anything with lycopene in liquid suspension will probably do the trick.

Warning about Google's AI infestation having spread to GMail:

I'm in Gmail on my phone, deleting all mail that has "Atlassian" in it. I get to the bottom of the page, it resets and shows me more, so I start deleting those.
