Oh, I’m not writing the number on all of them! I’m just doing it on my own. But I am telling people that they should do that too.

I love that you’re printing the phone number on the whistles. I discovered that many of the 3d printed models we’ve been getting donations of are long enough to write the phone number along the side in a sharpie or other permanent marker. But that definitely looks cooler.

And please, please please everybody, stop calling the hotline just to test it and see if it’s legit because it’s been sort of constant and could easily be bumping legitimate calls as those are starting to come in. The hotline is legit.

Finally got an answer on this and the hotline is voice only, no texts.

just to be clear, i didn't make that zine, i'm just passing it on. @meganpiont.bsky.social made it and apparently has been making them for other cities dealing with this bullshit.

They look like this. They are cheaper to purchase online than the other times of whistles.

Yeah, the group has been using just black cord to make a little lanyard. I think they might come that way from wherever they ordered them. But the kit I got from UM was on a keychain ring and I like that better. Not sure if they are as loud as the coach whistles though.

Yeah, I told them that and was trying to fix it but ran out of time. If I can manage to get a fixed file, I will change it out in the Google Drive. I’m at work and away from my computer for much of the day today. I feel like you can still read the number so it’s not super urgent.
