free ICE watch training tomorrow at the broadside, 6pm, presented by chicago indivisible organizers who just lived through this hell we are about to experience. come get prepared and get a whistle kit!
November 24, 2025 at 8:34 PM
They look like this. They are cheaper to purchase online than the other times of whistles.
November 19, 2025 at 5:59 PM
every business in new orleans needs to have this or something similar prominently displayed to push back against the impending ICE/CBP onslaught and be ready to get their undocumented workers/patrons into that area if they hear the whistles or see ICE/CBP nearby. #nolasky
November 17, 2025 at 8:34 PM
and here's the relevant info about the whistles from the group in chicago that distributes them. i got mine in a whistle kit from Unión Migrante. also comes with a Know Your Rights card in English/Spanish.
November 17, 2025 at 7:51 PM
also sharing this, for those of you who probably won't ever come to a meeting or get on a signal or whats app chat for iNOLA or Unión Migrante. this is from UM and details what you should do if/when you see ICE/CBP activity. for now, until a hotline gets set up, send them a DM on FB or IG.

So far, Kermit Ruffins has been announced as performing. I’m not one of the organizers so I don’t know if there are more big announcements coming. But hey, it’s New Orleans. Anything can happen!

New Orleans has been designated by @indivisible.org as one of 10 anchor cities in the country! The Great Lawn on the Greenway between Galvez and Prieur was chosen because it’s a huge open space that can accommodate the amount of people anticipated. It’s really lovely down there and family friendly.
October 13, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Save this file and print it out. Put it in your window. Give them to your neighbors. Tack one up in your neighborhood on a utility pole. Put them up in your favorite coffee shop. Gather your people and meet us on the Greenway! Last time we had 7000. This time we’re shooting for twice that!

haven't shared any cute kitten pics lately. she's growing up so fast!! i settled on Dusti as her name - for my favorite Gulf Coast abstract expressionist Dusti Bongé. i swear some days she is the only thing keeping me going. (i love my other cat Lily but she is often bitchy and rarely lovey dovey.)

Kermit Ruffins is bringing his legendary sound and spirit to the #NoKings Rally! Join us for an afternoon of community, power, and incredible music as we mobilize for democracy. This isn't just a rally; it's a celebration of our collective voice. 10/18 3:30-5:30pm Lafitte Greenway #IndivisibleNOLA
October 12, 2025 at 6:45 PM
Picked up a stack of flyers earlier for the #NoKings protest next Saturday. I’ll be flyering tomorrow afternoon in the area around the Greenway if anybody wants to come help. Just DM me.

well that was fun, howling. or really, for me it was more screaming. it is still hard for me to scream, post brain surgery, due to damage to my vocal cords/nerves in my throat, but i did my best. and it felt great! if you didn't make it tonight, join us next month on the full moon! #howlloud #nola
October 8, 2025 at 1:29 AM
hope to see (and hear) some of y'all howling tonight at the cabrini bridge on the bayou!
October 7, 2025 at 11:35 PM
And now it’s off. What do we think? Squirrel? Rat? Car accident taking out a pole?
October 7, 2025 at 12:51 AM
i adopted her from zeus' rescues and made it official last week. we're battling persistent worms/diarrhea which is no fun but she's bringing so much joy to my life. they named her lafitte and i've wanted to change it but haven't come up with something better yet that suits her.
September 25, 2025 at 12:11 PM
i wish i could remember to check in here more often. too many social media accounts, too little time. i think i haven't even told y'all about my new kitten!! she's been w/me 2.5 weeks now and she's 3 months old, a grey/white tuxedo. she's adorable and feisty and surprisingly my other cat likes her.
September 25, 2025 at 12:11 PM
if you're interested in the hand-printed ones, i should have time to do some this weekend and i'll let y'all know. they'll be on my website artbymags.com. might be blue, might be other colors. we'll see what shirts i can find to print on. i kinda like the blue. #wakeup #resist

WAKE THE FUCK UP RIGHT NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE! this design was based on a small linocut print. i like the rough chunky look of it so i blew it up for the tshirt design. i'm printing some light color shirts w/black ink at home diy style but folks really wanted the black w/green so link in profile.

hey midcity folx, come join us thursday evening (or morning, if you'd rather) for a pop-up pro-democracy protest! i'll be there in the evening. we had around 25 last week - let's get even more! it's actually pretty fun cuz so many people honk in support and seem so happy to see us out there.
September 25, 2025 at 2:28 AM
Just a reminder that there are several weekly pop-up pro-democracy protests in New Orleans. They don’t usually last longer than 20-60 minutes and are fairly small groups of neighbors standing out on a street corner with signs reminding us all to stand up to fascism. #resist

From friends: 10 month old female German Shepherd found on the railroad tracks St. Louis/Olympia in Mid City. No chip or collar. We are searching for the owner but are looking for a foster. Trying to avoid LASPCA. 2/2
