We owe our continued existence a republic to the rare "principled Republican" like Mike Pence, Mark Esper, Mitt Romney, and after ten years that's about all I could name, but these unfamous people can join them. It's a very exclusive club of people whose careers are probably over.

The concentration of wealth is at a historical extreme. In 100s of years of history bad things always happen at this point. The working class must urgently organise. Stop letting them divide people on migrants and other stuff. Its the same fascist playbook to distract from extreme wealth inequality.
Its everything FDR warned of. Private power was allowed to become more powerful than the democratic state itself. People distracted with meaningless bread and circuses tolerated it. Its now up to the people to fix it or be enslaved.
Further consolidation of fascist billionaire control over the sphere of influence. Wealth inequality went too far.
