They’re harder to find but they’re out there! This smol unit is the ATOM XL, released by Unihertz only a few years ago. It runs for more than one day on a charge and also packs an FRS-capable digital radio chipset! Shown here sitting atop the Android flagship model it REPLACED.

…if you’re using naked strip, you can get 3M VHB double-sided tape in the same width as the strip, and adhere it to most things with that. (If there’s sticky on the back of the strip already, don’t count on using it, it’s usually crappy.)

Feit does decent stuff, but their packaged consumer product isn’t all that great for the price. For this, you actually want to go to your favorite online retailer and get these guys, because it turns out a bunch of hot dots in a line is NOT the best you can do. This is 3000K continuous LED string.

Today’s plan is to go back and finish hiding all the wiring for the left run there, extend the strip a little bit further, add the last planned run for the project, and finish polishing up the wiring. The wiring has gotten pretty shiny already:

It doesn’t ALWAYS happen, but sometimes I’ll get a project idea for something at the house and start working on it and it comes out BETTER than I imagined. This is so far about the farthest that happy gap has opened for me.

I don’t know how I end up so blessed, but my nearest neighborhood grocer carries the ENTIRE selection of TWO different local salsa makers, and on the hot end, ain’t neither of them interested in fucking around. This is salsa that can almost keep up with the local Good Thai Joint, it’s pretty serious

The best thing I can say or show is this, though: I had one fall off of a forklift I was driving and get drug down a quarter mile of asphalt when I was in the USAF. As far as I know, this case is still in use.
