This was such a fun audio book. Never did I think a novel about a lecturer running a de-radicalisation programme for Isis brides in Iraq would be so funny, while also balancing the human element of the story. #Booksky #amreading

Saw some cool French translations of Octavia Butler's novels at Tropismes Libraries in Brussels. Definitely one of the fancier looking bookshops I've visited lately 👀 #booksky

🌡️ Europe’s #heatwaves are reshaping demand for air conditioning — only 20% of households have AC, but that’s changing.

⚡ The IEA has warned of a #coolcrunch: energy demand from cooling could nearly triple by 2050 if left unchecked.

Here's my story on the latest: shorturl.at/4S7w3
Europe’s record-breaking heat waves are driving spikes in demand for air conditioning
Heat waves and longer summers are driving seasonal spikes in demand for cooling units, highlighting the need for efficient technologies and adequate power supply to keep Europe cool.

It was a musical weekend with first Evita and then the Devil Wears Prada musical on Saturday. Definitely brought back the nostalgia seeing the movie play out on stage. 💃🏾💃🏾

Completley blown away by every single actor and the production of Evita. Rachel Zegler's voice was breathtaking, she completely owned that role. Diego Andres Rodriguez as the narrator was incredible. That standing ovation went on for ages! #Evita

Really enjoying buddy reading Problematic Summer Romance by Ali Hazelwood with my sister. I get most of my book recommendations from Olivia-Savannah and I loved her idea of reading this Sicily set romance during our family holiday to Sicily! ❤️☀️🍋 #Booksky #amreading

In the world of afrofuturism, the sankofa is a key image. Ytasha L. Womack writes the word sankofa means to "retrieve," it's about "looking back to go forward," signifying a way to the future by "remembering the past." 1/ #booksky #writingcommunity

It was so great to see Maggie Stiefvater talk about luxury and the themes behind her new novel The Listeners. I love reading historical fiction that introduces me to a new element of WWII that I wasn't aware of, and then there are the captivating characters too. Loved it! #Booksky

So my question on this is, if #AI is analysing manuscripts and providing assessments for editors on structure and pace etc. what about the manuscripts that blend genres? Stories that adopt abnormal structures and experiment with dialogue and narrative?

When a five star read leads you to another five star book 😍

Rebecca Roanhorse's short story, "Eye and Tooth" was just so good, I had to find what else she had written. I'm so glad it lead me to Black Sun, an epic fantasy which I blitzed through. #Booksky
