Robotic character Johnny Five in Short Circuit 2 (1988), a person-sized tread-driven robot built from metal, exposed wiring, and hydraulic joints, with a boxy torso and long, articulated arms ending in clamp-style hands. His rectangular head holds two large, expressive camera lenses that function like eyes, paired with a small metal strip with a row of red lights that act as a mouth of sorts. Though clearly mechanical, his range of motion and facial cues give him a lively anthropomorphized appearance.
