(she/her) I read books, play video games, watch movies, travel and eat food. And make puns.

A historic pub near me burnt down about two years ago. It was called The Osborne View as you could see Osborne House, Queen Victoria's summer residence on the Isle of Wight, across the water. Here's a picture of what we lost and the proposed redevelopment.

The only ethical way to become a billionaire is to divorce one.
BREAKING: Jeff Bezos’ ex-wife has made a “transformational” donation to the LGBTQ+ advocacy group. This large gift comes just months after the Trump administration shut down counseling services for queer youth.

The fact that there's a movie of Wuthering Heights coming out soon that's being marketed as a LOVE STORY and releases on Valentine's Day makes me wonder how many people missed the point.

Notably, Zohran hasnt managed to push Hochul left on the single most important part of making child care universal, which is putting an end to to the poverty wages of the child care workforce. Even if you don't care on a moral level, we'll never be able to recruit enough people without fixing wages.

happy year of the fire horse (hinoe-uma)! 👹 An old Japanese superstition from the Edo period says women born on this year will be hot-tempered and shorten their husbands' lifespans

I'm a journaler and have been since I was very young. I regularly think of who and what keep me in the fight & journal about it. I usually refer back to what I wrote when I feel unmoored. Molly appeared a couple of times this year. Each of us influences others whether we know it or not.

My diary:
- respects my privacy
- gives me a safe space to process thoughts
- doesn't bombard me with ads

If you want to start something new in 2026, a journal is a good place to begin.

Disappointed to find out that if I wake up early, eat breakfast lunch and dinner within the hour and get through my to-do list, I can't just speedrun the day. It doesn't make time go any faster and I can't go back to sleep.

I saw a few people wearing bauble necklaces this year, wanted one but couldn't find them, even in the sales. Spotted a string of decorative bauble garlands going for 90p, so I bought some and made them myself in the quickest craft of all time.

Santa flew by in the Victorian era, stopping to give a child coal. He knew this child to have been stealing food. Santa finds the chlid sheltering in a doorway. However, Santa makes a noise and wakes him up. "Wow! Coal! Now I can stay warm tonight!" he said.

Headcanon about Miracle on 34th Street: the Santa in the movie is the real Santa... an old, retired one. His son, the next Santa, placed him into elder care in New York City because the North Pole didn't have up-to-date facilities. But he's losing his memory.
