Dear @thedailyshow.com - My husband, the engineer and math whiz who was thrilled by the light saber—Sith Lord connection, would like me to bring to your attention this fixed version of the chart that Jon used on tonight’s episode. 🫣 Yes, I am acutely aware of the nerdiness quotient here. 😎 🙏🏽

🌱 Spring harvests have slowly begun and this pastel + contrast palette has me in love 😍 Sweet peas, Stock, Snapdragons, Ranunculus, Roses, and Dianthus make for a stunning combination. 🤩 #GardeningInZone9b

First ever Daffodils in my garden are now here and they are stunning! Can’t wait to see what the bulb lasagna container looks like once the Muscaris bloom shortly as well! #flowers #spring #gardening #containergarden #FlowersInBloom

For the record, you needn’t subject yourself to the brutal embarrassment and trauma of the “entire 50-minute meeting” to know that Zelensky was ambushed, bullied, & betrayed publicly. Also @washingtonpost.com does Bezos’ latest directive mean your op-eds no longer have to be fact-based because WHAT?

While some of the impacts of these firings may be short-term, we will likely only see the true extent of the damage over time, when reduced prediction & modeling capabilities for impending disasters & hazards end up being counted in lives & properties lost 😔

As February comes to a close (still hard to believe sometimes), the garden is showing beautiful pops of color starting to come in. Really needed this glorious morning with the sun out ☀️, drink-morning-coffee-on-patio weather, & garden colors coming in! ☺️ T-minus 5 days to starting cut flower seeds!

Hard work finally paying off with some new blooms! Candytuft, Geranium, Maraschino fruit punch Dianthus, and Muscari / hyacinth 🪻 all blooming and adding some MUCH needed color, brightness, and joy to the lovingly created backyard garden. Now awaiting the Potatoes 🥔, Garlic 🧄, Spinach 🥬 & Carrots 🥕

At least Mama Earth 🌍 is still keeping the beauty alive. Morning sunshine ☀️ after hours of rain 🌧️ & grey skies the day before; water droplets on my Stock seedlings 🌱 & the JOY 🥲 of seeing spring bulbs emerge in my first ever “lasagna” container planting! #garden #thelittlethings #findthebeauty

Ok so it’s officially winter now, right? Because I have about 500 seeds of ‘cool flowers’ germinating in seed starting trays. And since #gardening is my primary #copingmechanism currently, it is absolutely essential that it be winter right now so my hardy annuals seeds can grow & keep me sane! 😟 🤞🏽

Sun came out today after days of grey, gloomy, rainy skies and these beauties decided to put on quite the show! Seeing flowers in the winter is ever so satisfying and rewarding for this first-time backyard flower grower. Spring and summer flowers were easy. Tending to fall sown seeds is hard work!

It took months of love, care & monitoring but I have my first blue Salvia flowers today! After 2 days of atmospheric river-y rain, the sun came out today & so did these beauties!! 🥹 It feels SO good to be happy & excited about something right now! (Don’t tell me college botany professors though) 😬

I had no idea what they’d look like when I sowed these dahlia seeds, & while they’re not what I expected, I know better than to complain about unexpected beauty. My first summer growing flowers has been incredible. Now if I can only grow healthy, grogeous “Cool Flower” seedlings for spring blooms!

Enjoying this harvest of brilliantly colored zinnias in a special pink-purple-orange-red 💐 for the dinner table vase. Having these blooms for months on end in my first year as a flower gardener has definitely spoiled me. (Umm also, I may have gone a bit overboard with buying seeds for next year.🤫🫣)

Not sure who needs a pick-me-up today but if you’re among them, here’s a picture of the cutest patootiest little elf in her new, and first, hat… demonstrating that classic German shepherd side eye 👀 like she’s planning payback for putting the hat on her. 😬 #DogSky #dogsofbluesky #RaisingBurfee

It’s mid-November and I absolutely cannot get over the new color combos of Zinnias that are somehow still emerging in my backyard garden! When the afternoon sunlight bounces off a garden freshly washed by the rain, the colors just hit different! #flowergarden #newbiegardener #flowersky

Any 🐶 parents or folks looking to support artists, specifically those in Ukraine 🇺🇦, the seller who runs an Etsy store called “SoGoodSoWood” creates beautiful dog collars with engraved buckles, and in multiple colors. Ours arrived quickly and in great shape! Store: www.etsy.com/shop/SoGoodS...

Day 1 on BlueSky. I’m seeing a lot of cat pictures & not nearly enough #dogs so I’ve taken it upon myself to fix that 😜. This is Burfee, an 85-lbs “big scary German shepherd guard dog” who “protects” us from spiders, the wind, & dry leaves but hides on a chair to become invisible at the vet’s. 😅🤦🏻‍♀️

Much like the winter hardy seedlings I transplanted from trays to pots today, this is me transplanting myself from the eroded, nutrient-lacking soil of Twitter into what I hope is a healthier, safer growing environment under the #Bluesky. And yes, flower #gardening is my current coping mechanism..💐
