If the Timberwolves trade for Giannis I would love for the Sixers to try to get into the trade. I’d send all the picks to go from PG to McDaniels and Naz Reid.

Crazy to me that Philly sent a good young player to the defending NBA champions strictly because the Sixers are cheap and wanted to duck the tax.

Now that McCain has incredibly stupidly been salary dumped, I would use those picks to try to get Podz in a trade with the bucks and warriors. I’m assuming we do nothing to add to this team since that’s what the Sixers usually do, but don’t want to lose all hope yet.

I feel like we have said More Is Coming about many other confusing-in-the-moment trades of Sixers deadline past. I am not at all confident that More is in fact Coming.

Completely random thought after seeing Draymond in trade rumors, could the Sixers use the Giannis trade to dump PG’s contract with picks? Draymond and one of Portis, Kuminga, or Turner works. Probably nothing, but bored waiting for the Sixers Warriors game to start and annoyed with PG’s suspension.

Tyrese Maxey says he is predicting the future: he told Joel Embiid he was going to throw him a lob today, and he told Jared McCain he was going to make four threes tonight.

VJ Edgecombe yelled out in response, asking why Maxey didn’t predict the rookie would score 50 points.

What do the Sixers say if the Warriors called and offered Jimmy Butler and a pick for Joel Embiid? Steph is about to turn 38, I have a hard time believing they won’t explore trading Jimmy. Would be hard from a Sixers fan perspective to trade Embiid after he’s made a comeback. Should retire here

Jared McCain's stint lasted 3:10. He missed his only shot and it might have come on his only touch. Hard to blame him for pressing with the ball in his hands when he almost never has the ball in his hands. I don't think McCain playing such limited minutes helps him or the Sixers.

McCain: "I think this has been a great learning lesson for me. Offensively, if stuff's not clicking, how am I going to find my niche? How am I going to get minutes? I think on the defensive end I can really figure it out, I feel like I'm a smart player."
