Gun Laws won't stick. To change or inhibit the 2nd amendment would pretty much take 2/3rds of the house and senate. Too many Democrats love guns too, myself included. Plus it's treating the symptom, not the cause.
Mental Healthcare access, no amendment to get around, and helps more than shootings.
