Somebody should tell Adam Scott smoking is bad for him.

I'm reminded of the most important Onion story.

It's always like, dammit, did I die on that airplane?

When Bill Withers wrote Just the Two of Us, do you think he was talking about...

"All rules must be articulated and debated within an inch of their lives"

Spider-man, Spider-man, he's a millennial Spider-man.

Skill issue. Next time take a deep breath after one hiccup, say to yourself, "I am not the sort of person who gets the hiccups," and make it true. Works every time.

The crazy thing is that UBI is the capitalist answer to keeping the pitchfork wielding peasants out of the streets. Capitalists keep the means of production! I am begging the billionaires to develop an ounce of self-preservation, but they're like, "nah, how about everything worse forever?"

Not to well actually, but this was driving me crazy because I was pretty sure the whole comic was created in 1963. I looked it up and it was. Issue 156 came out in 1981.

I was projecting forward to the writer's next week piece where he promises answers. This piece is so sensible, but I feel like this person is probably too economics-brained to come to the correct policy solutions. So I needed to say them.

Yeah, sorry to state the sad and obvious
November 25, 2025 at 3:52 PM
It's really smart. Isn't the answer just eliminate all means testing and institute universal healthcare, childcare and public college, universal basic income and let progressive income taxes sort it out?

No fair starting a skeet with those three words.

If you need more sex bot in your media, I can strongly recommend Annie Bot. I've heard it compares favorably to the Companion, which I am meaning to watch sooner or later.

Do you have an alternative strategy for those of us with a deep need to be noticed and liked stemming from a childhood of being ignored? Um, asking for uh, yeah, like a different person from me. I think they're my friend?

Hey, it's all fun and praxis until somebody insists you practice...

You love the Music Man, if years of JJGO listening is any guide to your sincere opinions. (Is it?) So one more and I'd say you love musical theater.

It was just Scooter Libby encouraging Judith Miller to perjure herself. Simpler times.

In one of the novels, Chewie is in a coma and when a physician of his same species comes to help him, she calls him a "rug doctor." It's messed up.

The worst part, for average Russians, is that it then went up to 25 rubles to the dollar by the time I visited in summer '99. Almost 5x. I understand how Russia got autocracy. Actual hyper-inflation is scary.

There's precedence for this. Russia dropped 3 zeroes in the late 90s.
