And we're back. Looks like my kid will be able to call for his ride after midnight after all. Whew.

So, it's not clear to me that he can get a message to me. Unsettling.

It wouldn't bug me much except kid 1 is out at a thing and I'm supposed to collect him after being summoned. His phone is in Rogers and I don't know if he can reach out. And if he could, cell signal is so bad here I rely on cell-over-wifi to get calls. And the landline is VOIP.

Well, I'm plowing my way through this book. Seems like I haven't forgotten how to read. Still no home Internet, though.

So glad Rogers bought Shaw. In 20+ years with Shaw, never saw as many outages as we have had this year.

Still down. My meager one-ish bar of LTE isn't cutting it. Forced to read. As in, a book. It's like discovering vinyl again.

Thanks. These will make excellent xmas gifts for the children.

Fully agree. Both my kids have been in theatre since a very young age and I feel fortunate that neither seemed to be bullied or teased for this. My eldest (now in 3rd year engineering at uni) is on the UBC Dance Club exec. Not sure how this happened, but yay for well-rounded kids.

I mean, you can't leave it hanging there. What is this mythical item?

I have bad news about what you're going to find in the light...

Oh. Hmmm.

Not suggesting. "Something".
November 29, 2025 at 5:07 AM
At any rate, it's the intermission and I'm underwhelmed.

The person who sits in front of us was telling us we could have sold the tickets in the resale market for suggesting like $500ea. The run is sold out. I'm *quite* surprised.

Interesting! I need to ask my Gen Z kids about this.
November 28, 2025 at 8:57 PM
Yeah. If I were trying to describe it to someone unfamiliar with the geography, I'd say Victoria is on Canada's West Coast, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island on the South Coast of the province of British Columbia.

But if talking to an American, I'd say "North of Seattle" and _maybe_ use PNW.

Huh.
