first time I ever heard of the "rationality community". decided to read a few essays from sequences and I hate this. reads like someone adapted guidelines on how to account for bias in your data in ML but like to Refine Yourself in some weird Buddhist way (prob wrong but do I rly want to read more

I did try out Steam Link and it worked shockingly well. the only downside is it tries to blur out things that would be in your peripheral vision, so you have to move your head. kind of sucks when you're playing games where you have a dashboard to constantly eye around at for quick information.

this is personally how I've been using VR on Linux recently whenever I do use it. I heard Steam Link now actually works on Linux too for VR, so maybe I could also look into that.

really, the best part of all of this, as someone else mentioned, is the increased focus on Linux PCVR.

the best parts are probably the better networking stack and controllers.
maybe it's also nice to have the option to not have bad updates forced on you, but i genuinely kinda tune that stuff out lol.
