It may be the 8th of January, but there are still many Christmas decorations to enjoy around Warsaw. We consider it a good thing. They look wonderful in the snow and add a dash of magic to the dark winter nights!

The Church of St. Anthony of Padua, a beautiful wooden chapel in the Zakopane style, is located in Stara Miłosna, to the east of Warsaw. The church was first built in the village of Rokitno to the west of Warsaw but was shipped over 50 miles to its current location following WWII.

Snowy cabincore ❄️

There are lots of wooden buildings in Poland, even in the major city. They look especially good under a white blanket of snow.

Ptasie Mleczko is the name of a popular Polish treat. It is a tiny chocolate bar with a soft filling, usually vanilla-flavoured. The name means "bird's milk" and refers to a legendary substance that is wonderful and rare.

Many different varieties and flavours of the snack are produced today.

Part of a ruined temple in the Romantic Gardens in Arkadia. The building was constructed in the 18th century by a local noble who wanted to create a paradise filled with classical ruins and natural beauty.

Beautiful memories of summer in the Pomeranian region. Peaceful walks along the shining river, the sounds and smells of the forest and goats in the field ☺️

Houses and historic buildings in Warsaw's New Town viewed from the walls near the Warsaw Barbican.

The Barbican stands at the border of the Old Town and New Town. There's so much beauty to see and a lot of history to take in.

Falenica railway station, on the outskirts of Warsaw, features a cinema and café on its platform. The buildings are slightly run down, but there's a certain charm to the design.

The station's history has a darker side. It was used to transport Jews from the nearby ghetto to Treblinka.

The Old Town of Warsaw is often thronged with tourists. It can be hard to find a quiet moment to take in the atmosphere, history and beautiful architecture.

Occasionally, especially in the winter, it's possible to slip away from the crowds and find a peaceful spot to take it all in.

Nowy Świat in central Warsaw looks wonderful in the falling snow. On this famous street, part of the capital's Royal Route, you can enjoy delicious coffee and cakes or dine at a fine restaurant.

It's still snowing and cold in Warsaw...not exactly ideal conditions for driving or stopping to fill up the fuel tank. The snow looks pretty but it can certainly be annoying! That's the reality of winter in Poland 🥶

The Magician of Lublin by Isaac Bashevis Singer is an intriguing tale that explores key elements of Polish and Jewish culture. The narrative flows well with an unpredictable plotline and a cast of full characters.
