I quit IT to work in nonprofits 10 years ago so my knowledge is old. How can one cordon off the Internet? I wonder if archive.org is working on the problem

As a peniless student in the late 80s /early 90s I won a few extra visits home by giving up my seat on overbooked flights. By 2001 air travel was so awful that I predicted airports would have to federalize for safety. I wish I hadn't been right.
