Monster Hunter Wilds changed a lot of stuff, but it's good to see they kept the core of the series intact.

It's Boxing Day! What's your favorite Sokoban this year?

Mine is Isles of Sea and Sky by @cicadagames.bsky.social: it's got a nonlinear world to explore with secrets and upgrades and stuff, and a nice variety of mechanics. (Plus I'm personally a huge sucker for Game Boy-era Zelda vibes)

Nobody knows how they come up with these, but one data point: I played one "Roguevania" game in 2024, with playtime nowhere near my top 5 most played.
