Across the 3-county region in Seattle if you tell a bus driver you are going to shelter and you’ve been displaced from flooding they will not charge you fare!

Confession of long time Seattle resident: I can conjure no mental image of 'Downtown Federal Way.' Is it a real place? Suddenly it's a destination with lots of signage.

I did help 4 visitors yesterday who got on Link going the wrong way when they wanted to go to the airport.

I believe that Metro GLine drivers *enjoy* rattling passengers around like rocks in a can. The lack of seating in their giant bus encourages their funloving ways.

I’ve had a recent spate of queries from people (I think) who run book clubs/recommendation schemes. Each enthuses over a book I’ve written…then asks if I want to pay them to expose my book to readers. Each query praises a book that’s the *last* in a series (w/ no reference to series). 1/3

I wish I didn't know what double-tap means.

At 7/8 point in my draft, which means I am asking, 'what are you really trying to say in this ending?' while recognizing that I'm a different person from when I started. Passed the existential abyss, just waiting for crystalline clarity.

For anyone who’s interested, I posted an extra little story, set in the World of Lord of the White Hell. It’s on my Patreon this week and available to free members— so there’s no cost. I just wanted to share.

Do you have a favourite historical #cdrama entrance?

I had that exact same perm in 198?... Was talked out of it because it requires an angel's face below the bangs. I'm no angel.

On light rail, I heard one teen explaining to another the psychological changes of characters in Wizard of Oz. Very meta. Then he focused specifically on the interplay between the scarecrow and the robot.

Looking at bios of creatives for #WhispersOfFate: who gathered this crew and gave them a massive budget? Like, hey, Huang Wei, please freak freely on costumes. And, Zeng Ming Hui, have Luo Yun Xi sit for 3 hours every day for makeup & hair.
LBFD, Dw/inD, Mysterious Lotus Casebook guys: go wild.

A #cdrama discussion (not criticism). I'm trying to grasp #WhispersOfFate (thematically & artistically). In part, I can't decide yet whether it's subtly misogynist or just doesn't have a typical co-equal "female general" for other (pseudo BL) reasons. If you're watching, do you have an opinion?

November blustered its way in with the Pineapple Express, tho in modern times, they say "atmospheric river," like Andy Williams singing about misplaced nostalgia. The web app cautions a flood warning. & recommends an umbrella, but anyone from here knows not to carry a 20mph wind catcher.

An interview I did in 1992 has been re-published by the writer, Amy McGrath. I'm happy to recognize myself, 33 years later, as the same person inside. 🎸 And I still set up and load out my own gear at independent gigs. 😎

My 1992 interview with Reeves Gabrels is now on Substack.

Is it irreligious to note that anyone who claims to be using AI to "hasten the return of Christ" has catshit in his so-called soul and no understanding of his foundational scripture?

Watching #Hunting. Tone and topic, it’s in the world of Being a Hero. So, it’s not a #cdrama to watch for relaxation. But: Wang Yang.

Ask an inner-city checker what people shoplift, they'll say: you'd be surprised but mostly diapers, infant formula, laundry soap. So, Inspector Javert, if we care about babies, how about if WIC covers more of what's crucial? Or how about ...

Wow. Went to a chain grocery in a small town and they didn't have double entrances or police checking your receipt. Nothing in the drug section was locked. There were hand baskets and more live checkers than robots. Conclusion?

This is such good news from Rep. Jayapal. I'm so lucky to be in her district!
Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal:
"Katie is an organizer, like me, who has shown her fight and mettle in successfully organizing transit riders from the ground up, working in coalition to pass successful policies like the Jumpstart tax and desperately needed social housing..."

Yesterday's long hours of research caused me to understand that the first line of Maniac is "just a steel town girl on a Saturday night" ... NOT "small town girl." So, it turns out this song is not about me.
So mistaken for so many years.
