Love to walk to my job, where I strive to teach critical thinking, careful legal analysis & nuanced judgment, and pass a sponsored marketing event encouraging the use of AI ”for school.” Feels a bit too on the nose to be a metaphor.

Law profs, I thought it would be fun to ask y’all: What are your best pieces of teaching advice for new faculty members heading into their first semester of classes?
Mine:
1. Be transparent. Tell your students why you’re asking them to do what you’re asking them to do.
