There's a great quote that Gene Siskel said about movie critics to David Letterman that I really think about often when reviewing all kinds of films. Even if I'm watching bad movies, I love and care about this art form and I still want to feel the passion in what I review.

Eighty-five years ago today, Fantasia was released. One of the biggest landmarks in animated filmmaking, this film that pairs Disney's animation with classical music is a revolution thanks to its brilliant music and top-tier animation that helped set the stage for music videos.

Ten years ago today, The Peanuts Movie was released. A very honorable and charming tribute to the comic strip created by Charles Schulz, this film from Blue Sky is such a delight featuring its pretty unique animation, simple story, and the cast of timeless characters.

Fifteen years ago today, Megamind was released. A hilarious cult classic from DreamWorks, this film about a supervillain who somehow defeats the hero is a pretty fun spin on superhero flicks thanks to its hilarious comedy, witty story, and a slew of memorable characters.

I've been hard at work writing my next video essay which I'm hoping I can get out before Christmas this year. This one is certainly another crazy and exciting story that I'm researching regarding a classic TV special and I'm eager to share it with you all once it's done!
