Well put. I love watching bad movies because it gives me more education as a film lover on what not to do as a director. It also really helps me love the good movies that much more.

Thank you so much. I am still pretty proud of this review and that whole segment. It felt good talking about one of my biggest pet peeves in animated filmmaking and why it needs to be fixed.

Lars Von Trier is one of those directors that I just have a difficult time getting into so I really understand how you felt with this. The only film I properly clicked with that he directed was Melancholia. Everything else he's made has really left me cold.

The box office will never dictate what a film will be like, nor will early reviews for films. Some of the most beloved films of today like John Carpenter's The Thing were trashed by critics when it came out. Films will always have the chance to shine someway even not initally.

Also, making a cinematic universe in this day and age when they've started to fall out of fashion would be kind of crazy choice.

Misterman would certainly get a kick out of this. I can imagine him coming home and seeing his hubby like this and just going heart-eyed or something. xD

Exactly. That's my thought process on this. I don't let cynics online tell me how I should feel about films and just want to be honest as a film lover and critic. Even if some aren't, I'm excited for both films and that's how I feel.
