It doesn’t help that the chief engineer is a Black woman for this and only this episode because it was written as a romance between her and Lazarus, and they chickened out and binned that whole angle

Now Trump* has little compunction in exploring the upper limits of the power that POTUS is granted over our military as prevention/insurance against an apocalyptic attack.
The clearer it is that he’s abusing that power, the more apparent it is that the bargain is broken.

otoh, this retroactively validates my feeling that "Day of the Doctor" is the show's spiritual climax and finale (since it includes a Capaldi cameo but not, due to the ACTUAL nature of linear time, 13-15)

I would be all over it, especially with G2 comic styling

Has never received a true Generations remake i.e. with joints. Just a Legends that's too small and simple to really appreciate and redecos of Bludgeon, G1-style Megatron, etc. that don't quite capture the Magic.

It sets up this really emotionally compelling and socially relevant conflict then parachutes Arnold in for the third act with 5-10 of the driest, funniest lines you ever heard in your life
