Does anyone really think the political desk(s) at the NYT or anywhere else will be able to assess if these ten cases are due to the COVID vaccine? Reading that sentence out loud kind of answers the question.
What's going to be frustrating about Prasad's unsubstantiated claims is that the majority of people covering this, and much of The Discourse will involve people who aren't really qualified to assess the data, so there is going to be a ton of both sides crap.

Bush did it, hence Trump is empowered to do it
The president is about to start a war for no real reason. All of the things he has blamed on the country he’s targeting — fentanyl distribution, “emptying the asylums” and sending patients to the U.S., alignment with Tren de Aragua— are provably, obviously false.

Lots of people are going to die.

Headlines like this are extremely dangerous. Because moms of young kids are the people who make the bulk of the vaccine decisions for famillies. And for a lot of them, "reading the news" looks like scrolling past headlines on social media in the spare moments of the chaos of caring for kids.

This seems like the kind of declaration by a U.S. president that should be mentioned *somewhere* on the front page of CNN or the NY Times, but the fact that it isn't (as of right now) tells us so much both about how this president is covered and the credibility of the U.S. government.
Might be kicking off.

36%-60% (-24) Gallup is just staggeringly bad.

Where are the "Trump must radically change course" think pieces?

It's an indictment of our press that we're not getting front page stories questioning how Trump can continue to even run the country at this level of deep and broad dissatisfaction.
Four polls in recent days now have Trump in the 30s, with 3 at 35%-36%: 2/
35%-62% (-27) ARG
35%-56% (-21) High Point University
36%-60% (-24) Gallup
38%-57% (-19) Econ/YouGov
Again, Trump just keeps dropping.

bsky.app/profile/simo...
Two polls released today have Trump at 35% job approval, his lowest yet.
35%-62% ARG
35%-56% High Point University

Economist/YouGov track had him at 38%-57%, their lowest reading this year. He just keeps dropping.

Wag the dog time!

this FDA anti-vaccine stuff is bleak. they seem intent on carrying out their threats to severely restrict vaccination & collapse the US vaccine market

imo, they’ll probably do a lot more damage before they can be removed. states will try to compensate. worried about my + the other R-governed states

To put a finer point on this whole thing: "Two people with direct knowledge of the operation" — presumably uniformed military leaders — are accusing the U.S. Secretary of Defense of personally ordering specific war crimes. That's a historic accusation.
Textbook war crime/extrajudicial killing

"Two survivors were clinging to the smoldering wreck. The Special Operations commander overseeing the Sept. 2 attack ... ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions."

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth issued a verbal order to kill all crew members in the Sept. 2 strike on a suspected drug boat. Navy SEALs fired a second missile.

Miller is a uniquely odious person but I think we might have to move past “shock and alarm” when it comes to members of recently-assimilated groups wanting to slam the door behind them. It may be hypocritical in the extreme, but follows a clear albeit ruthless logic and seems common and mundane.
Stephen Miller is now arguing that assimilation is fundamentally impossible and that certain cultures are not compatible with Western civilization

No consumer-facing LLMs or generative "A.i." in anything.

Sure, machine learning in science and a few other limited applications is fine.

But consumer-facing LLMs and generative "A.i." that are based on theft, push disinfo, and can be manipulated by billionaires?

No.
