I made this to respond to some friends/family on Facebook but figured I may as well share it here too, because I think it's an important message I think people should hear.

I'll link to the landscape version in a reply below. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8n9j...

💯 this.

I also can't help but feel like there wouldd be a lot less interest in gambling on every possible thing if people had their basic needs met & felt like they could thrive &maybe even get ahead in a fair economy.

But when day-to-day life is rigged against them, they turn to other options…
I want to talk about a dystopian world we are entering - where every moment, event, and crisis just become commodities.

Life stops being something we live, but something we sell and trade. It will breed both corruption & emptiness.

1/ A 🧵on why our politics can't ignore this.

I like to imagine my finger
As if it were something much bigger.

A big toothless shark,
Would quite scare my friend Mark.

I really can be quite the stinker.
1905 LIMERICK CHALLENGE #2

Here is another drawing from the 1905 book of limericks.

Please write your own versions if you like! I will share the original tomorrow. I will warn you that the original verse is VERY BORING so this one should be an easy bar to clear.

The only reason this is a "dangerous time" is because YOUR PARTY is MAKING it dangerous, you evil gremlin.
Speaker Mike Johnson: "We should not be limiting funding for Homeland Security at a dangerous time. We need public officials to allow law enforcement to do their jobs."

Leavitt: "With a little bit of patience, the American people are going to continue to see that the best is yet to come. President Trump has a proven economic formula that works."

The US is officially a rogue state. The rest of the world should act accordingly.
Trump: "We are going to do something on Greenland whether they like it or not because if we don't it, Russia or China will take over Greenland. If we don't do it the easy way we're gonna do it the hard way."

The American people electing Trump after he staged a coup attempt 5 years ago was a nail in the coffin of our democracy. You can rationalize it all you want - But inflation! But wokeness! - but ultimately it was a societal suicide attempt and probably the dumbest collective voting decision ever made

We need to be honest with ourselves and our leaders about Venezuela

We are a rogue state, a global pariah

Trump is ruling as a dictator, period

An axis of evil wants to carve up small, resource-rich nations

The message for 2026 is clear: No kings!

Trump's illegal war on Venezuela cemented his claim to dictatorship and marked the U.S. as a global pariah.

Waltzing around the world unilaterally imposing the will of US leadership on sovereign nations couldn't possibly have horrible repercussions down the line… right?

Right?

Looking forward to hearing all the explanations from peace-loving, rule-of-law "conservatives" about how unilaterally overthrowing a sovereign foreign nation in violation of national law and the US Constitution is good actually. [1/2]

hey remember when a bunch of middle-aged drunk korean lawmakers climbed the locked gates to the national assembly to hold an emergency session after the president gave illegal orders to the military, all of which ended with said president being sentenced to prison

Sad commentary on the US education system that every retail place feels compelled to post lengthy notices like this explaining the simple concept of rounding to the nearest 5. 🤦🏻

Someone remake “It’s a Wonderful Life” but Mr. Potter believes that hoarding is morally required so he can devote resources to delivering a far future with trillions of humans while George Bailey is like, “Gosh Darnit! The person charged with enforcing the laws is an open lawbreaker, assisted by a team of open lawbreakers, backed by a Congressional majority indifferent to lawbreaking, supported by a Supreme Court that privileges them to break the law.

It has no legitimacy whatsoever.
The person charged with enforcing the laws is himself a law breaker. In such a state, do laws even have any legitimacy?
