I don't want to dissuade you, I got really lucky with a couple of educated guesses and some of the text was stored in plain SJIS. But for Kattobi Tune in particular theres functions in the exe which cause rendering errors. No matter the game you're diving down a rabbit hole. A fun one tho!

It varies on the game & platform. PS1 has a lot of info & tools online to get you started but nothing is plug and play Ive spent hours staring at memory dumps & wrote my own scripts to extract & insert data. ATM I need to figure out how to disable + rewrite engine features

9060XT for me. I should've done more testing with the game itself but didn't want to cross the 2 hour mark. I think there was just something wrong with the FSR implementation with my rig/proton/drivers. I do still swear frame generation was bugged to be forced on though.

Yeah the vagueness doesn't inspire complete confidence but I am relieved to see some amount of backtracking. Keeping the pressure up and forcing them to acknowledge side loading every time they want to market this update is key.

My understanding is that it is forced on by default but there supposedly will be a new way to install unsigned apps. Based on the "Empowering users" section. It didn't read as dev only to me

My head cannon is that he does that voice as an act just to sell more pork buns. Because if you talk to him in one of the DLC missions his voice changes immediately lol

Messing around with another UE5 title the frame pacing issue was caused by my second monitor and some specific settings applied to it. But JDM still forces the use of upscalers and has a persistent ghosting/noise issue
